Pmall Adventures!

If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen that I've been spending quite a bit of time at Pacific Mall this month. Pacific Mall is pretty much an Asian mall filled with tons of goodiez including adorable phone cases, amazing beauty products, all types of electronics, and the most delicious foods!

I remember spending Chinese New Year Eve at Pacific Mall and Asian Heritage Mall (the mall beside it) as a young child and watching the fun shows, buying tons of toys, having dinner at the big Chinese restaurant upstairs, watching other families in their Chinese New Year outfits and just having the best time walking around with my family.

This visit we ended up on a hunt for the perfect phone case for Erica and I ended up coming home with a. more Tony Moly products, b. goomba hat, c. a selfie stick, and d. a super stuffed tummy!
We went for lunch upstairs at the delicious Japanese restaurant Axia (the best Japanese food in the mall)!

Feelin' Witchy

**original text of this post sadly got deleted somehow:'(** I've been re-watching American Horror Story over the holidays and started watching Coven again and was instantly inspired to create a witchy outfit. I decided on wearing my new velvet Junarose skirt from Your Big Sister's Closet.  I asked my friend Christopher to take some photos of me a couple weeks ago when we had light snow and it wasn't freezing yet. Any good shows you've been binge watching lately?

02. Sunday Steals

This weeks steals are mostly a ton of amazing shoes (Jeffrey Campbells that were $140 are now $30!), accessories and home decor! I've been trying not to spend any money lately and I've been pretty good but I'm hoping to have some extra cash sometime this week so that I can finally get some of my must haves! ^__^
Any steals you saw this week that you just couldn't pass up???

Get Your Shit Together!

My motto for 2015 is "get your shit together!" I've been madly cleaning and I'm almost done finally!~ I've also finally started checking things off my to do list!

If you follow me on instagram you may have seen my new fave sweater which is from Jac Vanek and is currently on sale for $10! I'm in love with it! I paired it with my faux leather skirt, gold chain and boots from New Look. I wore my new mint coat from Old Navy over top! I'm pretty thankful for the mild Winter were having. This time last year I couldn't bare to be outside for 2 minutes, let alone without a coat.

Are you getting your shit together this year? ;)

01. Sunday Steals

I've been getting a ton of questions lately asking me "how are you able to afford to buy all these things/spend so recklessly/ugh I wish I was rich/etc."
I'm not going to lie to you, Jayson and I actually laugh when we read these comments.
Let me get it straight with ya'll; we are not rich, in no way do I have an in disposable shopping budget (believe me if I did, you'd all be seeing a different Jess).

Now, I'll be frank, I can admit to being a shopaholic... I love to buy things, it's definitely one of my vices. Specifically I'm sale obsessed, not only with clothes, with all things I need. I check out flyers constantly and you can bet that we'd go to 3 different grocery stores every week to get the best deals (I know I'm a tad crazy).  There are a ton of different ways we cut back on our regular daily expenses using my sale method, which in turn gives me a bigger shopping budget in the long run.

First things first, I typically tend to buy clothes out of season. You might be wondering why that is, well I only buy things out of season that are a. when the season is coming up relatively soon (i.e. stock up on spring/summer things during winter clearance sales), b. incredibly cheap or c. I was madly in love with it when it was full price but is now under $10 suhweet. Although sizing can fluctuate a lot for people, myself included, I typically stay within the same size range so I never have any issues wearing that item I bought last Spring for this Winter for example. Buying things out of season for me has saved me so much money, one of my fave sales is New Look's end of summer sale (I kid you not for the past 3 years, my internal clock has known the sale would be launching and wakes me up right at 4am to check it out and I would have no idea that that day would be sale... spoooky) and Modcloth's Now or Never Sale sale during the first week of January. Forever21 also has some good deals every once in a while although, I wish they'd update the Plus sale and make it as good as the straight sized one. :(

Secondly I always set a budget before I start browsing, if I only have $60 to spend I will only let myself spend $50 and save the last $10 for taxes and shipping etc. I'm more of a bang for your buck kinda gal, so I'd spend that money on 10 items that are seriously reduced but may not be wearable for a couple of months instead of getting 2 items in season that I'll have to stop wearing in a couple weeks anyways. I'm subscribed to all my favorite shopping spots and constantly check my emails for any incredible sales. I also use a cash back site called Ebates which gives you a certain % back on each purchase you make. The % rate constantly changes and can be anywhere from 2-20% cash back. I'm the biggest fan of ebates since I found out about it last year, I wish I'd heard of it sooner, would have saved me so much money in the long run.

My sales strategy won't work for everyone, some people like to have in season items at the moment and that's totally okay, I splurge once in a while on things I must have. I thought I'd start sharing my weekly steals that I find during the week. Every week I'll save my favourite deals/promo codes I saw and share them with all of you!

This weeks promo's:

Modcloth Now or Never Sale - up to 70% off
ASOS 70% off sale + extra 10% off with code: GIMME10
Boohoo 75% off sale, 20% off new arrivals with code: RENEW
Forever21 extra 30% off sale with code: EXTRA30
Missguided 75% off sale

Missguided Plus

junarose missguided plus
It was freezing outside on Saturday and although the weather said it was going to be a snowstorm, it actually was just a ton of snow that then turned into rain later on in the day. I attempted at taking some photos outside but it was just too terribz so, we ended up taking some inside at this basement loft space downtown.

I've been a longtime fan of Missguided! Up until recently I could only purchase their accessories/shoes and dream over their gorgeous pieces. Not anymore my friends, they now have a plus line and I'm loving it so far! I picked up a few pieces a few weeks ago and I can't wait to share them all with you! I'm wearing their selfie slogan tee, it's super comfy. I paired it with my Junarose check coatigan, my leggings and velvet skirt from forever21+ ( seriously such a steal for $10), my thrifted gold cuff, black new look boots, my new fave necklace from h&m and of course my favourite "I want to be a mermaid" beanie!

What are your thoughts on Missguided+ line? Any pieces you must have???

That's SO... 2014!

New Years Eve, Junarose Woo first post for 2015!!! I hope you all had an impeccable New Years Eve! My original plans fell through but, I managed to make the best of it!

2014 was a year of ~*change and learning*~ for me. Although it was stressful, exciting and definitely challenging - I wouldn't change a thing.  Now it's a New Year and I know that most people set their year up with high expectations and resolutions, but I like to just challenge myself with some yearly goals.  A few goals this year is that I want to work on my blog more, I let my blog slip in the ending half of 2014 and now to make up for it I intend to have post up consistently so that I don't end up with a ton piling up.  I also intend to stop being a mess, and I mean this literally. I've been ~*so busy*~ that I let my space become chaotic, everything's a mess and it's hard for me to find things most of the time. Jayson and I let this mess spiral so badly out of control we've spent the past 3 weeks attempting to get this shit together... I'm so proud with how clean we have gotten it thus far but, everyday I will spend time working on a section at a time, in hopes that the space will be clean soon and my goal this year is too keep it maintained. Those are probably not the most exciting "resolutions" for 2015, but they mean a lot to me. I'm feeling optimistic about this year and I can't wait to see what's in store!

ps. sorry about the low quality images! it was just too dark and cold outside to take any nicer photos.
